Scale in relation to exported format

Does anyone know what the scale of 1 voxel unit is to a standard .blend or .3ds unit? So if I have a 1x1x1 cube in blender, how many voxel units would that work out to? I'm trying to match scale and can get close but not exact.

exported cubes have size of 1 ( .3ds, .obj, .ply ), but not sure for the unit...

I'm afraid I've one more question.

In this image, the large piece is 4x4x1 and the house is 171217. They were exported to .3ds and imported into Blender, without any changes being made.


In this image, the 8 small squares are the corners of a 17x17x17 object, and the hollowed out box is 128x128x128

I don't quite understand how to manage the scale, so that proportions are relative as one would expect. Am I missing something?

If you're using blender then you just need to clear the scale. It isn't set on all exported models for some reason. Object > Clear > Scale (or just Alt + S)
