obj not exporting custom colors from pallet

I'm building a game in unity 4.6 and when I import my model it changes the colors from the ones I created in MagicaVoxel back to the default pallet. I've tried saving a new pallet with my custom colors then changing it to the default but I'm still getting the original colors, which makes my model look pretty odd. Has anyone else experienced this? And if so, how can I fix it? I am using version 0.97.

when you export a voxel model to obj format, it will generate 3 files :
*.obj( mesh ), *.mtl( material ), *.png( palette texture )
when you change the palette, for example, click Palette->N for an empty gray palette, you can check if the *.png output image is changed correspondingly

I looked at the .png image and the colors have changed. I imported it into unity again and its now fixed. I have no idea what I did differently this time except for opening the .png and looking at it, so if I had to guess I would say that it was a user error.
